I Tried Once and Then Quit

This was the response I got when I visited an ALC yesterday. A fellow told me they had submitted an amazing idea for the Knowledge Showcase, but they just stopped trying when they didn’t win a laptop.

So, here’s my question: When is the right time to quit? Do you stop when you don’t get the results you want, or do you keep pushing until you reach your goal?

I hope you’re enjoying this cool Sunday evening. Sundays are my time to reflect on my week, and one thing that stood out for me was this: Winners are people who refuse to quit even when it’s tough. They keep showing up, even after rejections. They learn from mistakes, adjust, and strategize for the next step.

The amazing thing about winning and losing is that you make the decision, will you quit, or will you keep pushing forward?

As 2024 Draws to a Close, Ask Yourself:

• Have I clearly defined my goals and achieved any of them?

• Did I quit because I was tired or because I already got what I wanted?

• What can I do differently to make the last two months count? (It’s not too late!)

Set those goals, review what you do daily, and remember consistency is what will drive you forward.
